Hello to all those wonderful people out there!
Writing from my peaceful space at the Tea and Tarot and swaddled in layers as we take on the first bout of real Winter here in Cape Town.
Recently I have truly been addressing my sweet tooth and the side affects that come with it, which has lead to many opinions of the best ‘Diet for Life’ …
As the old adage goes … We are what we Eat … and It shows!
This leads me on to ponder how important our ‘Diet for Life’ is and how important to find the balance …
Our diets should definitely be balanced, wholesome and rich.
It is so important for us to make sure that our choices are good to give room for the contrasts, textures and tastes to make sure that we enrich ourselves in a way that supports the Whole.
So in looking at the Whole it is important to remember the “Whole” includes the Emotional, Mental and, often forgotten, the Spiritual balance also.
Are we remembering to include laughter and giving space for the tears or do we go through our paces forgetting to experience the variety that life offers.
Are we remembering to look for the positive or are we just kept, caught up, in the constant reminder of what seems to be wrong with this world …
Do we give time to Meditate, Pray and just to live in that moment that brings clarity and Peace …
Balance within each aspect of ourselves also brings Balance with each other aspect and our diet is now one of textures, contrasts, new experiences and lessons to thrive on to remind us what makes life whole.
